Hee hee. I love the roadside marauders part, Don. There IS something about a pocket knife that just makes one feel competent, though, don’t you think?
Daniel Boone carried one I hear. That’s all I need to know
Love it: I’m of an age when everybody carried a pen-knife as a kid: my grandfather bought 5 for myself, my brother and three cousins: for some reason, the eldest three got white faux-ivory ones and myself and the other youngest got faux-tortoise shell. I wanted a white one . . . the story of my life…..
Anyway I still carry a Swiss army knife, for
1. bottle opener
2.corkscrew
3. small screwdriver for adjusting screws in my glasses.

It’s not exactly Daniel Boone is it? By the way, was he related to Pat? ( . . . only kidding
PS I’ve just discovered that Pat does claim to be a direct descendant of Daniel . . . .
Hi Rowland!
Good inspiration.
Thanks for the comments and for stopping by. I took a look at your blog and love it! I’ve added you to my Blogroll
Pat Boone a descendant of Daniel eh? Hmmmm…having trouble picturing Pat in a coonskin hat and singing Moon River for some reason.
